Can MOA access USB disks / devices?

Hello everyone,
I was wondering if there is a way to enable MOA to access USB devices. I
planned on storing a VM or two on a USB disk while booting MOA via CD or
DVD. In short, I have successfully created a full functional Windows XP VM
that is 3.49 GB in size only to not be able to use it. As you can imagine
this is rather frustrating.

Hi and welcome

yes - that is possible.
I use MOA to access all USB-devices I have - such as USB-disks and sticks or WLAN-adapters.

If you used the latest downloads it all should work out of the box.

Let me know if you have problems

None of my VMs, regardless of guest OS, are able to grab input from any USB keyboard. Even when manually attached to the VM. VMWare's grab input function (Ctrl + G) does not work either. Input from USB mice works some of the time when manually attached to a VM.

I used the following:
moa241-driverspro.zip
ws653.wim
moa241-setup-v3.exe

Is there a way I can diagnose and solve whats is gong wrong?

Hi

... grab input from a USB-keyboard ?

You plugin a USB-keyboard to use it exclusively in a VM ? - or do you mean the normal USB keyboard of the host you booted into MOA.

The second should work - I never tried the first one though.

Can you explain ?

... forgot to mention ...

when you plugin a new USB-device after boot and want to make this available to VMs you must run the "enumerate USB" function of moa.exe - thats right click on the VMware-icon

UGH stupid me, I found out why. The 'Enhanced Virtual Keyboard' was on for every VM. As soon as I disabled that input from the mouse and keyboard worked.
