Converter 4.3.0

Postby cdub50 » Mon Feb 07, 2011 11:40 pm

I have successfully made a cold clone .iso with converter 3.0.3 is there a way to make a cold clone for converter 4.3.0? when I run MOA 241 v 3 it asks for the location of converter for 3.0.3 where is that configuration file that stores the file name for converter? can I change that configuration file to point to converter 4.3.0? Do I need to add new drivers for the new version of converter 4.3.0 or do the same drivers work for both versions? I tried changing the name of converter 4.3.0 to match 3.0.3, but it did not extract the files from the installer for 4.3.0, so when the .iso is made and you boot from it there is no converter directory that contains all of the files from the installer. Any insight to this problem would be appreciated.

Converter 4.3 has no coldclone mode - so installing it on MOA makes no sense

I looked into it for a whole while and found that it is useless.

What are your reasons to ask for it ?

So what is the most recent version of Converter that can be used? I have seen a cold clone .iso for 4.1.1 so I would think that 4.3 also has a cold clone cd as well.

No - it has not.
All coldclone original vmware CDs I have seen use a slightly modified 3.03

So what is the most recent version of Converter that can be used?

3.0.3

What are you missing ?
win7 and 2008 can be patched easily so we don't need that function from the newer versions.
